I had a Simoniz 1600 or something from couple of years back, after 2 years of service... Can't complain.

So i went to CT this weekend and bought one of this guy. It is a Electric pressure washer and vacuum cleaner at the same time! The greatest thing is, it is a wet VAC also which means you can clean your fabric interior at the same time too now.

Construction seems robust... pressure washer is great, comes with 2 nozzles. Comes with 2-3 vacuuming tips. They really took a try this time to make it ergonomic, nearly all the accessories fit back into the machine, so it is a neat little package. Also has an accessory bags for whatever doesn't fit.

Back to the cleaning... I drive a BMW Z4, so the first thing i wanted to test out is the wet vac, as you need to wait for the top to dry before you 'should' open the top...

Pressure washed the car, put in detergent on, spray with low pressure, wipe with those little cotten glove, and pressure wash again. Car is sparkling clean.

Next i vacuum the top of the soft top to get the water out... its even better than i thought!!! it even vacuum tiny dust particles that was trapped in the fabric!

Washing the interior carpet is now a blast... pressure wash off the dirt... flip it to vacuum, and suck out the water.

It really makes the job of regular car cleaning alot easier. I would recommend it to everyone.

As far as bad reliability with Simoniz models, only time will tell!

According to my analysis of the design of this <Crappy> product, you can use for 2 years. No way, there are only 2 possibilities
1. You have not used it frequent enough
2. You must get the one which has not been made according to their so called <specifications> in accident.

Simoniz sucks. I didn't believe until it happend to me. Bought a S1800 last May, used it maybe 10 time to wash the car. Placed it inside over the winter. Started up this May once, everything worked fine. Then the second time I go to use it, the handle has a huge leak. and it's 1 day after the 1 year warranty period. POS, would never buy simoniz anything again. Their customer service sucks too, left a few message, never get a call back. I just gave up. I am not paying 39.99 for another cheap handle.

I'd like to hear if anyone else out there has bought this unit and had a good experience with it? It's highly rated on CT's website. It's 45% off right now, so only $149! I think I'm going to go pick one up. I'll post how it is eventually. I look forward to anymore comments from owners of it.

Xg3 I wonder if you are a Simoniz company worker. Your story sounds too good to be true and it is completely different than my sad story. Maybe you own shares in Simoniz or Canadian Tire.
