I'm looking for a replacement battery for an old phone... the battery is basically the type pictured at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...&category=33931 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3070545944&category=33931) -- three 1/2 AA size cells, 3.6v total, and that specific type of connector.
The sell for about $1-$2 USD on eBay, but shipping of $5+ kinda kills the deal. Is there any local source in the Toronto area where I could get it cheaply?

Anyone? I have an old Vtech phone, would like to get a new battery for it. Radioshack seems to have something like it for $20

There are a bunch of electronic shops on Matheson Blvd E, west of Dixie rd. You can prolly get one from there for 5 bux.

Wow, this is a pretty old thread.
I did end up finding the battery I needed...I got it from A Buck or Two for $2-$3. Their stock varies from location to location, but check your nearest store (if there is one in your area) to see if they have the kind you need.

thanks for the lead. I doubt buck or two would have a website - any idea if there's one in North York? Like around Finch stn or something?

I doubt a battery from buck or two is as good as the one you would find in an electronics store..........just my opinion. :|

Even if the $2 batteries don't last as long as the $20 ones from Radio Shack, they're still a better value.
