Thanks for the answers in the other thread, i thought I would ask a few more things about things to do and see in Tokyo.

What temples are worth seeing in Tokyo? I thought about Asakusa Senjoshi Temple. then there is the Naritasan Shinshoji Temple that the tour actually goes to.

Are there temples that allow visitors to ring a bell or get charms for good luck, etc?

What is recommended from seasoned Tokyo travelers?

Do you have access to www.tripadvisor.com or www.virtualtourist.com?
Many recommendations, many photos, many reviews, many shopping tips, many Tokyo specific forums etc.

asakusa's sensoji is definitely the best in tokyo. for something a little different visit Jodo Shinshu Honpa Hongwanji temple it's close to the tsukiji market.
narita is kind of out of the way. it's an hour and change to get to.
if you're going to kyoto, kamakura, nara etc. then seeing one temple in tokyo is enough.

Check this out. This website is much more organized for general information. It also has commute guide for each attraction.

grab a JR Pass here and go outside of Tokyo to Kyoto. There's more than enough temples to see there.

the tour will cover Kyoto so i'm not worried about that.
