I have an interview with Canada Post next week (for Postal Clerk, part-time temporary position). Does anyone know what I should expect in terms of both the interview and the job? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

How did you apply for this position? And when did you apply? But if you search through the forum you will find a post called canadapost GAT test interview. it should tell you what to expect like basic math, reading and memorization question.

Biggest thing about the job is that you'll be on-call and you'll be called in for midnights. If you can handle the hours, it's a great paying job. I recently finished up my training to be a letter carrier, and I'm just waiting to get called in once things pick up with people going on vacation.

Canada Post pays very well, but don't expect to get day shifts for at least a couple of years, if not more. As for the interview, I couldn't tell you what the Clerks would be asked as I haven't gone through once of their interviews.

I'm guessing you passed the test and everything and booked a time for the interview? They're gonna ask you some pretty much normal job questions, like whats your strengths/weaknesses? name a time a customer has aggravated you. Also how much can you lift?

You pretty much got the job so don't worry about it. I see guys who look like twigs work around me and they're also temps. As well as woman who struggle to lift a case of letters lol.

I've been applying online periodically (7 or 8 times) over the last couple of years - most recently about 2 months ago. Thanks.

I check regularly every week but it's tough. I got two Canada Posts within <1km of me but I never see openings for my those two locations.

All I can say is keep trying - your number is bound to come up sometime.
