I was just graduated and working in a bank back office
THinking of taking the CFA in the december.
But at the same time, was thinking of CPA after the lvl 1 CFA in dec.
I tried googling but there is no definite answer.
I knew CPA is easier than CA accounting, but what's the perquisite?
Will it help in my career?

If you're looking to get into accounting and have no accounting experience, will a CPA help you get your foot in the door at a C.A. firm?

I have currently written and passed all four exams for the CPA designation. The requirements differ from state to state, therefore, depending on which state you want to be certified in, the requirements will be different. I believe you can search it up on www.nasba.org
I still need my 2 years work experience before I can become certified, and I find that even though I have already passed all the required exams, finding a job in accounting firm is still extremely difficult. I am still in the process of searching for a job in accounting firm, and has gotten no luck so far. I heard that the big 4 accounting firms are not going good this year, and they have overhired for the upcoming season and recently had laid-offs in some departments, therefore getting a job within a firm will be hard, especially within big 4 firms.

Thanks for the info ms1031
My sister is currently working @ KPMG as Senior Accounting, and she did said the same thing. One of the Big 4 actually laid off those that had failed the Uvy exam (first attempt).
Even friends of her (CA program in Waterloo) have trouble going in the BIG4, she was working at some smaller accounting firm.
Seems CPA is harder than I thought...mostly because of the years of experience required.
