VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol)
You need:
Highspeed internet
Router (prefer 1 VoIP Compatibilities)
Adapter will be provided by the provider.

So its basically phone over the internet. Does most things as a regular landline does. EXCEPT: If the power goes out then you have not phoneline and 911 will not work.

Wow that seems simple. Does it work with cordless phone?
