First, if anyone knows of a recent thread, I'd be happy to look...I did a search and couldn't find anything relevant.

Also checked the linked site from the sticky, and the only "offer" was $299. I've seen it in flyers for $269, that seems to be the best walk-in-and-get-it price locally. (TRU, FS, etc.)

Also if anyone knows, is there just one base package? Not sure what I should be looking for, for two younger kids to play, and don't want to get a deal on the base and pay a fortune for the add-ons, you know?

Not in a huge hurry, would like it for a "grading" present for my son at the end of June.

Thanks for any guidance--as you can tell, I'm "just a mom" and not particularly versed on the options! :cheesygri

The Wii Sports package linked to by the previous post is a good start.
It has the basic console, controller and 5 games. The games are fun for kids and even adults - baseball, boxing, bowling, golf and tennis.
You should be able to get it for ~$270.
If you have a SDM, check with their photolab csr. They usually get a few units in, find out if they are expecting some and go that day.
Thats how I got mine a few weeks ago...
Walmart, TRU, EB FS etc, get them but they are gone quickly. People don't think of SDM for electronics like this, so you have a better chance.

I sell modded ones if youre interested. If youre kids are young it might be a good investment to keep the originals in perfect condition while they scratch up the backups instead.
