weirdest Email Hacker?!

ok i went to work around 6pm tonite
then i recieved a call from my friend around 8pm
he told me that... the "hacker" used my msn and messaged him
he asked my friend to tell me that, i will need to send an email to MYSELF in order to retrieve my account? my friend told me that the hacker was polite..?

i' was like... wtf...
now i'm home, and i can't really login to my hotmail.

anyone had experience like this?
why the heck is the hacker being nice and wanted me to retrieve my account?
or he just wanna know more email accounts of mine so he can hack the others too?

argh i'm sooooo lost!

Did you use msn on a public computer? If so, did you forget to log out?

NOPE he just replied my email
telling me to give him $40 USD to have my account back
he as well holds my paypal account

i'm pretty confused
can't he just send money to himself thru my paypal account?
he even showed my my own paypal password
and told me there's no money in it except 2 credit cards~

he told me he won't do anything
just pay $40 and i'll have both my accounts back~
what should i do :(

can't you just do forgot password for hotmail, and type in your secret question and answer then it gives you the password? As for paypal, I would think they would have the same.

Try it, i don't see why it wouldn't work, i wouldn't pay the money until you have run out of all options.

You got phished then.

Ask the guy to give him your paypal password (so you can pay him from your PayPal account) and then log into your account and then change the password back to something else. See how dumb the guy is if he bites. If he doesn't, then I don't know what you can do really. Just becareful where you enter your info.
