How come there is no wand-wash car wash places in Montreal? I am originally from Alberta and we have them all over the place. I can only find those automatic car washes in Montreal. Can anyone help me out?

If you're in the West Island there's always Steve's Hand Car Wash. Been around a long time now, they do a great quick job, and offer detailing also. It's around $15 all in if memory serves (I haven't been in a while, but plan to soon.

4216 St-John's Blvd, D.D.O.

There's another detailing place that my Dad used once on Gouin not to far from the Roxboro train station. I'll get the name from him and edit this post. It was aound $100 and it was an excellent with friendly, quick service.

There are a few in West Island. There's Brian's on Sources towards Roger Pilon. They're not bad from what I remember and then there is Mr Sudz in Ville St-Laurent and I seem to remember that there is one on Sherbrooke corner Decarie.

In the NDG area, there's a place on Wilson and de Maisonneuve, that is good, but it's not DIY. I recall going to a self-serve wand wash place a long time ago (we're talking about 20 yrs ago...) but it was in the east end. I don't know of any places in the ndg area...

There's one on the corner of Wellington and Bridge. Another on de la Montagne, corner St-Antoine(it's right by the Bell Center).

Are they any good? I don't know. Dealership often has detailing services.

i know of only 2 wand wash places; one in Lasalle another in Lachine. The one in Lasalle has 4 bays, token's are $1.20 or so each, and each gives you 3-4 minutes. It's on Newman at the corner of Thierry, a block west of Lapierre.

The one in Lachine has 2 bays only and works on loonies. It is on Notre-Dame near 17th.

On Jean-Talon, between Pie-IX and boul. des Galeries d'Anjou, you'll find about 6 of them. All are good, and they will Armor All your tires for the same price ($15 includes: hand wash, window cleaning, vaccuuming...and they are very meticulous).
