Reference Query

For instance the supervisor you worked for is on a leave and the future employer wants a reference check. So, who do you give the contact information of? The new supervisor doesnt know you, and the future employers don't expect your colleagues to be your references !!

usually companies have policies as to who your references would be in a situation like yours.

At my company they want you to use the Human Resource as reference and only your manager if you absolutely need to.
