I have one in the garage and I would like to get rid of it.

Shipping would be pretty expensive if they're filled, and that's even if shipping a filled propane container is permitted...

Oh yeah, ship that baby airmail.

You could probably get a few $ for it....not much. Good to get it gone, though.

You need to know the date of manufacture, these tanks are good for 10 years (unless they have changed the law recently). I think you would do well if you can give the tank away.

Tell Kommander_Kornflakes he can have it for free if he picks it up, all worries solved in one swift move :)

as long as the valve is the newer type you can change it for a brand new full tank at HD for $20. Always good to have an extra for the barbeque.

I think you should give it to your neighbor and try to get some favor points :D.

I vaguely recall these things going for 20-25$ at costco. Or maybe that was just a refill?

$20 sounds more like the refill.

OP, check the date on the tank. There's a validation date on it and it is not recommended to be use beyond that date.

A while back I heard of someone throwing a propane tank in their garbage can. The garbage truck was destroyed when it got crushed.

Actually, it's illegal:!: :!: :!:

Check the date on a P&E Exchange Tank..:!: All they do is repaint the older tanks.

To fill one 13-17 bux.

New unprimed and empty is around $20, New primed and Full $35

You can not just dispose of a tank, best bet is to see is one of your neibours will take it.
