Hmmm, I don't know her so well and am wondering what to get a 35 yr old lady for her birthday. I'm invited to her party. She's funny, a hard worker, and a good Mommy.

Any ideas that are not too expensive? Thanks!

in quebec we call them "dras sante" (health sheets?)

they are super warm bed sheets. Sounds corny but everyone i have given them to rants and raves about them!

As a 35ish mother of two myself, I would like something to give me a few minutes peace (mind you, I don't know how old her kids are).

Maybe a manicure/pedicure GC from a local spa? I don't care how much people say GCs aren't personal enough, I would appreciate that 100x more than candles/flowers etc.

+1, that's exactly what I was going to say.

Give her some free babysitting services so she can get out of the house occassionally and have some fun.;) Or, if you're not into that, yeah, a GC for some spa services is what I would think of first too.

You didnt mention if she's single or not, but giving her theatre/concert/symphony tickets would also be nice. We once gave a mid 40's couple theatre tickets followed by a dinner gift voucher to a nice french restaurant in the area.

Also, some women are not into the whole spa thing (I know, crazzzzzy. But I know dozens of women who think it's a waste of time and money). So try and find out if that's her kind of thing.

One last suggestion, a chapters gift card if she likes to read or listen to music.
