Hi,

I'm looking for a plan for my mom. She's currently on roger's basic plan, but It's not ideal for her since some months she uses 0mins and others, she'll go over 10mins and be charged way too much. I believe a prepaid is the way to go for her.

Prepaid = services like pay as you go right?

what's the current promo's right now? what's the best deal?

thanks

prepaid is 40 cents per minute. if you know ahead of time which are the busy months, you can switch to a $20 month plan for lower per minute charge.you can roll minutes to next month if you dont use them but you have to pay at least 10 bucks per month or 100 per year

Researching the same thing for my mom and we've decided on either Petro Canada Mobile or 7-11 Mobile. Do some searching in this forum.

I use Petro Canada Mobile and it is great. I don;t know about 7-11 as we don't have that here in Quebec.

I have very good reception and the money lasts longer than Virgin Mobile. Virgin is a joke right now as I barely use my phone and they like taking my money.

PCM is $0.20/min and if you need to call elsewhere in Canada (Long Distance) its $0.30 so its a 10 cent difference compared to Virgin's 25 cents a minute in Canada along the local price.
