No, why you think so?
If you cant pay your insurance, they will tell you to sell the car, and cancel the policy.

Your employment status per se would not likely qualify you for any rate reduction.
However, should it result in your auto usage changing, you could potentially be reclassified into a pleasure rate as opposed to regular commute.

Technically you should, you can report to the insurance company that the car is no longer driven to work, and only used the leisure purposes. Technically rates are different if the car is on the road during rush hour.
