They have been sending flyers and also they put signs in their locations about an amazing deal: full membership for 2/week (no contract, no hidden fees, etc) for the first 100 people. I called them (Dunfield, Toronto location) and I told the sale guy do you have this offer? He said yes we do. I told him look i do not want to waste my time, if you do not have it then save me the trip but he said no come we still have it. It took me 30 minutes to reach there. When i was there, the sale person (with name Ashly) showed me the facility and everything. Then I told him ok let get the membership. Then he called his manager, who was so unfriendly and arrogant, to came to tell me sorry I have to pay 2/week for first 2 months then 128 the rest of months!!! I told him no I came for that ad, only 2/week (no contract etc), he (the manager) said we do not have it anymore. I told him I just called and he (the sale person) said you do have that offer and I left my phone number then you should have called me if you do not have anymore. But they are BS_ing people... what a crook people!! i knew it they hide something that is why I told him I do not want to waste my time if you do not have it then I wont come.. crappy Extreme fitness.. Do not trust them please.

Extreme = a bunch of crooks. We all agree with you. I have been with GoodLife for a while now and I've yet to be screwed over by them.

I recently moved to the area and went to the Dunfield Extreme Fitness location to sign up. The normal price was apparently $128/month, but now was only $96/month and $8/month for first two months.. "due to construction", which there is a lot of indeed. I said that price was still way too much for me, so the sales woman went and got a manager to come over and he goes, "ok, here's what we'll do.. $76/month and your first 3 months free.. works out to $56+tax per month for the first year." The first sales woman says "Wow... what did you just tell him? Is that the corporate rate?" He says "Yeah.".. she then says to me "That's fantastic, we're going to sneak you under the corporate rate, sometimes we can do that... aren't you excited? come on..."

The whole episode was completely phony, fake, etc.. anyways, I figured $56 isn't bad and since it's only a 5 minute walk, I'd take it. So I signed up. The next day I went to the gym and found I really hated the layout (multiple floors, tiny rooms), seemed to be sweating buckets doing light weights (AC wasn't quite working), and when I went back to the change room, I realized there were no showers, I didnt' even see any sinks or toilets. This was due to construction but wasn't mentioned to me during the tour. The real changeroom was completely gutted and it looked like it'd be months before it'd be functional again.

The next day I went back to cancel (within my 10 day period), and was told I could only cancel with the General Manager, who only works during the week. Rushed home from work the next day and went to the gym, waited about half an hour to see the GM and cancelled.
