if 2 people are to split a drink and there is one drink and 2 glasses, in order to be fair, one pours and the other chooses

so now, how to do it for three people? using only the drink, and 3 glasses (no measuring cup etc)

and how to do it for n number of people? using only the drink, and n glasses (no measuring cup etc)

Get a measuring cup.

Volume of fluid each receives = Total fluid / n

If there's one drink and you have to split the drink between 3 people, then each person gets 1/3 of the drink. Therefore, 1/3 x the volume of the drink would be divided among the three people.

For the variable of "n" number of people, it would be 1/n each person would get.

Correct?

You let your dad pour it for your mom, and you don't get any.

Did you edit the question? If you have no measuring cup, you could visually tell if its 1/2 or 1/3 or 1/n. Although, its not accurate.

at least his answers are far more entertaining to read than the threads you create.

+1.

You could also do it by weight.

A more interesting (possibly unsolvable) is if there were only n-1 cups and you had to use the original drink holder as the nth container.
