I'v always had swithing problems on my FTAs, needing to power the unit on and off or changing channels and coming back to get the channel to show up.
Supposedly these EMP 4x1 Diseqc Switch are the best on the market and will fix all switching problems.
So far I found them the cheapest off of skyhighelectronics.com, does anyone happen to have a coupon code for them or another place that is cheaper.
Here is the breakdown of the price after shipping.
dor 2 of them
2 x 19.98
+13.02 shipping
GST 2.65
Total = 55.65
A lot to spend on switches, hope it works.

you should look into a powered switch to fix your problem

A lot of people have had the regular Emp switches fix everything, I would try the powered one as a last resort, how would I get a plug socket up to the roof anyhow?

You wont find a deal if shipping is involved.
Did you try to Google- FTA Montreal?
I bet Kijiji & even Craigslist might bring some contacts for you.
Another good switch is Chieta Heavy Duty. It's been working really good for the past year and is mounted outdoors.
Good Luck

have you tried chieta switches? i have the same problem but after many different brands of switches i have found the problem to actually to be my fta receiver since my nfusion switches fine why my coolsat doesn't. I have even ran all the cables into the house to reduce the stress and wear and tear on the switches if they were mounted outside. If anything it could be the receiver, also if you go on any fta forums there are bunch of helpful people around.

Thanks for the links.
I've heard that the EMP are the best, I'd like to try the cheaper Chieta ones, but if that didn't work I would end up spending the money on the EMP ones, so I won't take any chances and just go straight for the EMP models.
