Need something cheap so I can store it in my apartment, the unit is only about 400 ft.

What's a good, cheap bike? I don't need any bells and whistles, just something that works and won't break on me.

hey good to see someone on the folding bike kick.

anyways, there are some decent deals to be had in craigslist. toronto.craigslist.com

search for folding bike.

what you are looking for depends on a few factors tho..
1. how often will u ride
this will decide wheel size, gears, suspension etc
2. how far will u carry this
decides weight
3. what will u use it for?
if its for errands or groceries for ur condo, you may want a rack or basket
4. plan to ride in poor weather?
get fenders

there are some decent ones that were posted late last week, one for $100 and another for $85.. not dahons, stridas, moultons or ralleigh 20's, but decent for the average run.

you can try any of the downtown stores..

ucycle.com or urbane cyclist has a good selection of dahon flavor folders, i think u could also do bikes-on-wheels (not wheels on bloor)

curbside cycle is more boutique-ish and has thousand-dollar bromptons and strida 5's

let us know how it turns out.

I purchased my Dahon from Curbside last year. Reasonable prices on par with those listed on the manufacturer's US site, plus good, friendly service. Would recommend them, though (new) folding bikes aren't generally cheap.

Folding bikes have become a very valuable member of bicycle society. Sometimes you just don't have the space to store a full size bicycle, but would still like to enjoy fresh air and outdoor activities. Sometimes you find yourself in a travel situation, such as on a private boat, plane or recreational vehicle, and you have a need for local transportation -perhaps some nearby sight-seeing or shopping. Folding bikes can meet your need! It has long been the answer for campers and travelers of all kinds and our Ultralight version is the newest solution in the space equation. It's light weight and rigid. 16-inch(some models in 20-inch) size provides a smooth and comfortable ride. This package is tough to beat, especially at this price (price from $89-$159). Now you can affordably take your fitness and transportation WITH you!
