what percentage of employers out there usually approve sponsoring an employees MBA program. partially or fully?
what other ways can a person use to reduce the fees for an MBA.
am thinking besides employers helping, maybe Teachers Assisitance?(but what if u have to keep working full time?)
i noticed most MBA fees are really high but also learned that the school also tries to aid students..
anyone got any experiences with how there went through financing their MBAs?
OSAP? SCHOLARLSHIP? etc....

please share your experiences and advice.
i hope to write the GMAT by year-end and possibly start an MBA program if am accepted in January 09.

Thanks

Oddly the two companies that I have worked for (both Fortune 500) have a policy where the MBA is the one degree that they will not pay towards.

It's because studies show that something like 80%, i just made that up, but a high percentage of grads leave immediately upon graduating and they are usually doing it to get out of their current company/career. Some companies will do it with agreements to hang around for 2 years afterwards or you have to pay it back, but i think they know they will never recoup it from you if you leave, its not worth taking you to court, their legal costs would be far higher.

i just graduated form York university and just started a job paying $50,000/year but the job still feels like something anyone can get. am holding unto it because it willl give me the availability to be able to complete my Masters with no stress but if i wasn't planning on doing my Masters, i would definitely be aiming for some other job. anyways, i wouldn't mind staying with the company for 2 years or so if they help out with my Masters only o the condition that once my Masters is done, i get a position which a Masters degree deserves. not just something anyone can jump into.

by student loan offered by school affiliated banks or by OSAP, or scholarship.

rotman pay for all the interested incurred within the two years.

Company paying is not a great option to me, the company will assign a position to you (after you graduate) and you don't have any choice in the type of job, salary is unknown. The reason you do your mba is because you want a brighter future, having companies pay for your tuition is the same as having your hand tied up.

I am in 2 year full time program. Entrance scholarship money ranges from 2000 -15,000+.

I find Rotman entrance scholarship much harder to get then schulich entrance scholarship.

As a Rotman student, you can pretty much guarantee a line of credit (80,000) from scotiabank, provided that you don't have a debt over 150,000. All the interest within the time you are at school will be paid by Rotman.
