Folks I am planning on moving stuff from a dorm sized room from Toronto to Hong Kong. I would appreciate absolutely any help you can provide.
Mostly just clothes, a computer, laptop, books (about 30), DVD wallets, documents and an air purifier.
Here are my questions:
(1) Do you know which company provides this service?
(2) Do I have to pack the items myself and then call them here for pickup?
(3) My most important asset (my computer) is fragile. How do I ensure they don't damage it?

1) I moved from Mississauga to New Brunswick and back. Both times I used United Van Lines. http://www.uvl.ca/ They do international moving as well. All my items arrived on time and in the same condition they picked it up.
2) You can pack it yourself or they can pack it for you. Obviously, it would cost more if they packed it for you.
3) Just let them know which are fragile boxes and I believe they mark it as such. My dishes, glasses, etc... all arrived in one piece.

I would:
1. sell the computer.
2. ship books, DVD wallets through postal service.
3. hand carry the laptop and documents and some clothes. The rest, postal service.
4. are you sure your air purifier can be used in Hong Kong?
That should be cheaper than using a shipping company.

Try ufreight.com
From what I understand shipping to HK is pretty cheap.
