How would you interpret a carfax data that show all yearly vehicle registration from 1997 to 2006 (first 3 in Quebec, 7 in Nova Scotia), but no data for in 2007 or 2008 at all.

The vehicle is currently in Ontario (private sale). Wouldn't it has to have some sort registration record for the year 2007/2008 or perhap sometime in 2006?

This is my first look at a carfax data, any opinion/help appreciated. Thanks.

btw .. thank again to all who have the unlimited carfax account. you're guys are awesome.

Quebec, then to Nova Scotia and now in Ontario??

Unless it is a ridiculously good deal, I wouldn't even consider this car.

Its an 11 year old vehicle that has done a bit of cross province travelling.

What sort of vehicle is it? What price? What condition and so on.

The Carfax is telling you to ask questions from the seller, if the seller does not have answers to your satisfaction you walk away from the vehicle.

If its an inexpensive vehicle treat it as "what you see is what you get".

Run away. This car is bad news. Province hopping is a great way to hide rebuilt wrecks.

If seller allows get it checked out at your mechanic and make sure to check for any damage, body misalignment, check the frame, check for welding spots etc.

If all turns out ok then use the reason that the car has hopped around a lot to maybe get a lesser price:lol:

Thats not really fair actually. I bought a car that was originated in Quebec from 1999-2004 and then came to Ontario and from all the cars i looked at it was the most cleanest, best condition one. Got it checked out at my mechanic for any damage, electrical, engine issues and was perfect. Been driving it for 1 year now with no problems whatsoever.
