Best Place for the best rate on american money

Does anyone know of a place that will give a decent rate on an American cash investment, i want to buy a gic or something safe like that and have $50,000usd.

I would try a discount online broker firm like Etrade or Qtrade or any other firm that doesn't have monthly/quarterly fees. I know Qtrade has no annual fees or inactivity fees so if you want to park the cash for 30 days or more that will be a good choice. Also, since you are dealing with a broker, your choices for T-bills or money markets are huge. Just keep in mind you may be hit with a closure fee if you want to close the account with in a year. Usually its $50.
