hi everyone, since there are a lot of RFDers with m1210, figured i'd ask here

i've had mine for about a year and half, and so far, no complaints! awesome laptop
however, my 9 cell battery now jumps from 74% down to 7%, and i can only get about 2.5 hours max use out of it

figured it was my lack of care and excessive AC use

anyways, just wondering if anyone's found a good canadian source for buying a new m1210 battery? or any thoughts on 3rd party batteries vs official dell ones (which are very expensive i believe?)

thanks

If you get a replacement that uses Japanese or American cells you should be in good shape. China cells which are often found in cheaper 3rd party batts, will likely give lower capacity and longevity. If the Dell original already uses China cells (it's quite possible these days), then you could actually find a battery that's better than the original, in the aftermarket.

hi, so is this cell info on the actual battery itself?
i have yet to take the battery out...
can anyone recommend a good online retailer for laptop batteries?
googling just returns too many results :(
