When filling out the "intention to appear in court" form today at the court services office I checked off "No" for the portion where it states whether or not you wish to challenge the officer's evidence (bf's advice) and checked the box that stated "I intend to plea in court" (or something similar to that, can't recall exactly what it said) in the next section.

After talking to a friend, I think I needed to check "Yes" to challenging the officer's evidence if I plan on pleading not guilty.

What should I do next? Could I go back and ask to correct my form?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I've never had a ticket before so this stuff is completely new to me.

...how can I phrase this?

What do you intend to do in court?

You should be able to contact court services at HT court and indicate that you wish to plead not guilty but filled out the ticket wrong. If they can't help you, you'll have to show up in court and indicate to the prosecutor and the JP that you wish to change your plea, in which case the matter will be adjourned to another date. Not to worry, they won't make you stick with a guilty plea just because you made a mistake.
