The Disney tickets are a great deal, in my opinion.
If you get an adult 3 day ticket for 1625 miles (regular price is 1865 miles), it will cost you only 17 dollars at Disney World to upgrade that to a 7 days ticket.
I find with Air Miles that MOST of the rewards can be found elsewhere at great discounts (magazines, air fares, eletronics, etc). Disney tickets are an exception, you rarely find a reasonable discount on them.
As the Disney tickets don't expire until you actually start using them, you can buy now and keep them for 2 or 3 years until you actually plan to go to Florida.

How can you change a 3-day to a 7-day pass? I thought you could just add the Park-hopper and no-expiration options?

You can do it, not a problem. Several people on the "disboards" forum have reported doing that.

Does anyone know how much extra $$$ to convert a 3-day airmiles DisneyLAND (not DW) pass for an adult to a 7-day pass, or how much extra $$$ to upgrade from a DisneyLAND 3-day child's pass to a 7-day pass? I know that DL takes the face value of the ticket, as in, actual price printed on the DL park hopper ticket, and you then pay the diff. from the gate prices, I believe. (Or do you pay the price diff. from the pre-purchase ticket price listed on the Disneyland.ca website? Does anyone who ordered Disneyland tickets through air miles know what the value of the tickets state on the back? (For 3 or 7 day passes, adult or child.) Thanks!
REMEMBER guys, for Disneyland tickets, a child is one who is 9 years old or under- a 10 year old HAS to have an adult ticket.
I wonder if the DL tickets will soon go on sale. Also, maybe worth it to note - the DW tickets, from my understanding, may also be used at DL, but it is a pain, as each day one has to go to the ticket booth to exchange for a DL parkhopper.
Maybe someone here can shed some more light on this. Thanks!
Here's some decent coupons you can print for DL area savings...

Here's a great link to Disneyland menus... shows prices, too!

If you have to buy DL tickets, rather than use air miles, buying through this website listed below is cheaper than through the Disneyland website, plus, you can have more days than what they offer on the Disneyland website. Also - buy a 3 day pass or more, and receive *2* MM (magic morning) early entry pass where the Parks open one hour earlier for those with the select tickets. (Disneyland.ca provides only 1 MM entry.)

Also -enter the coupon code PODCAST to save the $10 processing fee. Tickets are picked up prior to entering the Parks. :)
Another great tip... For those who buy the city pass California, you can upgrade the 3-day pass in there, to have more days in the park. You can buy it through the link above, or through Costco.ca
