IMO Apple's New Keyboard are the Best out there, very easy to type and comforable. I gave the Wired that came with my iMac and upgraded to this.

No one ever bought an Apple product for their price/value ratio

Will work with Windows, but does *not* come with a BT receiver. All Macs have had Bluetooth Built into them for over two years ('cept MacPro). You can use a DLin 3rd Party USB Dongle with it though... not sure about others...

I'm using it right now and now I know why Apple didn't include the Number Pad.
It would throw everything off. The balance, lay out, weight. I can comfortably palm it with one hand, it's so much easier to handle/type than the previous BT.

Jobs thinks the Mac ppl ar are "cool" and don't need number pad anymore.
Being an accountant myself...I always have my USB keypad/calculator w/ me;)

this keyboard is missing so many buttons, and the buttons that are on there are small/oddly shaped and placed, it's not even funny if you do anything with your keyboard other than peck at it and chat.
i was actually looking at these when i needed a keyboard for my ps3, but ended up just getting a cheapo bt dell keyboard for 20 bucks that uses a traditional layout and has all of the keys you'd expect and no keys you wouldn't.

Staples has the wired Apple keyboard and I have been waiting for it to drop in price:

Great looking, and to type on it is a dream. A buddy has it and I want one so bad, but I just can't justify spending $60 on just a keyboard.

i think you have own this keyboard to know what it is about, otherwise you'd just say it is an overpriced piece of junk with limited functionality.
kinda of like saying a sports car is just a waste of carbon emission. you gotta drive it to know what it is about.

When? These are $59 and $69 on the website now. I can also say I got the Apple BT Keyboard for $40 on Boxing day, but you can't find it for $40 now. :cheesygri

if you plan on using it to actually do any work or gaming, then owning it will only prove to you what people were trying to tell you in the first place.
as a media center keyboard, it looks wonderful and a good runner up to the most awesome dinovo edge which is still in a price league of it's own.

Most gamers would want the responsiveness of a wired mouse and keyboard. Bluetooth and IR have lag and latency.
If you are an accountant, don't buy this keyboard. I suspect that less than 2% of the population are accountants.

can you adjust the tilt of this keyboard? if not, it is an ergonomically poor design. and i think i save tons of money from not having to buy overpriced mac products

So aside from the disadvantages of wireless, the keyboard itself, the buttons, etc.. How is it in usage when typing and playing games?

This is cheap? Why does Mac sell its products more expensive than other brands? Just get a Logitech, Microsoft or IBM keyboard.

the wired kb is selling at the apple store for $49, and if you have the educational discount, its $44 (prices before taxes of course). and perhaps you could get it cheaper elsewhere with some research....?

Bluetooth Keyboards from Logitech can be twice as much as this keyboard. Show me a Bluetooth (not USB wireless) keyboard that's so much cheaper?
I'll give you that Apple stuff doesn't go on sale... but the MS and Logitech BT keyboards can be at least as much as this one.

Thanks for posting that :) . I was after both the wireless KB and wireless mighty mouse and this deal can't be beat. It's actually $109 (unless paying cash and picking up at the store, in which case it's $99).
I was at London Drugs and they have both the KB and the wireless mouse for $79.99 Each. They wouldn't match SIG so I just ordered from them and it seems that right now if you order it's free expedited shipping with UPS. Total came to $115.49. Awesome deal IMO.
I should get them by middle of this week and I'll write a mini review of both the mouse and KB. I plan to use them with my Macbook Pro connected to an external LCD.
