So I was reading a Reader's Digest issue at an optometrist's office yesterday when I came across some interesting tidbits: The following food will help *freshen up* your mouth and help reduce bad breath (on top of all your regularly dental maintenance work)
- yogurt
- cranberries
- pineapple
- eating raw vegetables (celery, carrot, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes etc)
- fruits, especially the ones rich in Vitamin C
In addition, the following food is known to generate some bad breath
- onions
- garlics
- alcoholic beverages
- foods with high protein intake (meat etc)
Just wondering if you guys can add a few more items to both lists. I am sure we all enjoy our favourite cuisine but there are times and places for everything i.e. you may not want to have shawarmas at the office all the time (unless you brush your teeth right after ;-)
Cheers!
