Hi,

Looking over my Ufile tax return I realized I made a careless error in reporting my RRSP deduction limit for 2007. My limit was supposed to be 15843 (Line A Notice of Assessment) but I entered in 7843 - discrepancy of 8000.

My guess is that this won't have an impact on my tax refund this year (as the contributions I have actually made in 2007 is what affects the refund amount) but obviously I should have more room next year.

My question is how do I rectify this? Is there someone to contact at CRA? I netfiled my return about 9 days ago - should I do another netfile with the correction? Or will CRA pick up on the error as my RRSP contribution amount was listed correctly on my 2006 Notice of Assessment and they should know the correct amount?

Any help appreciated. Thanks very much.

You can just go to your online account to file a T1-adjust. I am not sure it's required though depending on how UFile uses that information.

don't worry about it... CRA keeps their own records for RRSP limit ... the computer only uses that so it knows how much to deduct if you make contributions

when you receive your notice of assessment it will list your RRSP limit for 08 if you have problems with it call them
