personally, I am using an EVGA 780i mobo and Patriot RAM (PC2-1066), with a Q6600 (2.4ghz)
I got my system OC'd to 3.6ghz.
Great board, but I recommend getting an aftermarket cooler for the chipset. It comes with its own fan, but its just not enough. Overclocked or not, that thing runs as hot as magma. (51-60.C)
The RAM has overclocked well, and its quite stable.
Got everything from DirectCanada/NCIX

eVGA is a good pick but personal preference = DFI Lan Party. Its the best one of the best overclocking boards out there.

I am in the same boat as OP and I plan to get an eVga 750i SLI ftw motherboard. I heard the stock NB fan is loud though and the HDD LED header is undervolted. But aside from that it is a decent motherboard as far as my research has shown. :)
P.S. Does anyone know where I can buy a 60x60x15mm case fan with 3 pins connector in GTA? I looked through the usual suspect (CC, Infonec, PCV) but they don't seem to have it. It seems a little overkill to order a fan from BC stores. Comments are welcome. Thanks!
