Yea...sucks that you have to pay-per-play though.
Luckily it's free during summer..

Checked out Blackmore... i was interested in their weekly Round Robin, Interleague, and House league events. However, they are all doubles.

Anyone know a good tennis club in markham/richmond hill that caters to singles play?

I have been looking as well.

Tennis in the winter is hella expensive.

I did find this one place (not in Richmond Hill though):

Name: North York Tennis Association (NYTA)
Price: $200 annual membership + court fees
Location: Don Mills (inbetween Sheppard and Finch)
Indoor Courts: Yes, apparently they have a north, east & south facilities
Hours Of Operations: check link below:
Website:
Contact info = http://www.nyta.org/contactus.html
Annual Membership fees info = http://www.nyta.org/applicationformembership.html
Court fees = http://www.nyta.org/2008-9FeeSchedule.pdf
Pay As You Play fees = http://www.nyta.org/payasyouplay.html

They also have a pay-to-play option, so I don't think you need to pay for membership but the court fees/hr are much higher.

I am still searching.

Thanks for posting this. The pay as you play plan seems like a good option for us who may not play every week. I am wondering if the charge is cost per hour per person or just cost per hour for the court and I can bring up to 3 guests to use it?

Per court
whoa, are you sure about that? That seems pretty cheap then, if you play doubles with 4 people and split the $20/hr. It comes out to $5 per person.
