Hey, Im not sure what car to get, I was hoping for a 2004 Mazda 3, but its gonna cost me too much. They quoted $400/month.

My options are 2000 Civic, 2000 1.6EL, or 2000 Jetta.

First of all, which one of these cars have the best insurance rate, and if i were to pick a Jetta, does any one know which year has the least problems.

Thanks.

Any other car suggestion will be appreaciated too. Im looking for a tuner car, something I can soup up. I know every car can be modified, but im talking about the popular ones.

Civic is going to be expensive for insurance. My buddy got quoted 600 a month for a 91 Civic and he only paid 1200 for the car. What does he do with the car? He's left it in his garage and does not drive it.

I am 22 years old and I am the first driver on my current 2007 chrysler seabring and I have 1 at fault accident and 1 minor conviction. my current insurance is only $245 a year. i just obtained my G license.

My previous car was a brand new mazda6 and I got into an accident with that and than my insurance was $290 with a clean record and only a G2 and a 20 year old driver. My insurer than was TD meloche Monnex

My current insurer is desjardins and it took me A LOT OF SEARCHING.

key thing is to search hard for a lot of insurance companies and you will get a competitive quote. If you only need 3rd party, it will be cheaper. however both my insurance were for full coverage

yeah, sorry but i don't think your insurance is $245 a year or $290 a year.

Maybe he meant per month? That'd be more likely

First off, if you want a tuner car then you're going to be paying $$$ into the car and you won't see any return, hope you realize that. If you are dead set on the cars listed, I'd start off with a 2000 SIR, build the suspension, get a nice set of tires/wheels,I/H/E and build up the internals of the motor.

The EL is just a civic with some extra features sporting a Y8 under hood, a nice daily driver if you left it alone. The dub, I wouldn't touch based on the experience my bud and his brother had with theirs. I liked them but they had nothing problems with them.

Whatever you do, setup a budget on how much realistically you can afford and work based on that.
