I'm trying to recover some pics from a SD card.

Can anyone recommend software that would do this for free?

I tried using Virtual lab but you need to pay to save the recovered files.

Cheers

Thanks for the suggestion.

Unfortunately it found nothing, however when I scan with virtual labs it finds the pictures I need, but without paying I can't save them.

Can you or anyone else recommend another alternative?

Cheers

Edit: sorry didn't see "free" ... this is a pay program

I tried about 10-12 different apps and the one that worked the best was:

http://www.pcinspector.de/Sites/smart_recovery/info.htm?language=1

Which is convar. Just wanted to make sure you used the 'smart recovery' version that's specific to flash media.

If that doesn't help you you're probably screwed.

Avira Unerase http://www.free-av.com/en/tools/10/avira_unerase_personal.html , from the company that makes Avira Anti-Virus. They made it free after discontinuing the commercial product.
