Is SigElectronics.com an authorized and genuine Apple products reseller? I searched for their Canadian resellers at http://www.apple.com/ca/buy/locator/ but SigElectronics didn't appear in the list.

I would like to verify their authenticity and confirm that they are indeed an authorized Apple reseller before I plunk down cash for a MacBook Pro from them.

Thanks!

they're probably not, but you can ask them if you like and see what they say.

Easiest way to know

I aint sure. But one thing for sure is, u pay what u get. If you want a discount, you take the chances. I bought things from them before, and seems fine so far.

Except we're talking about Apple here... if there is ANYTHING wrong with it, then you just go to the Apple store and they'll fix the problem for you, or replace the notebook.

I spoke to one of them on the phone and apparently they buy A LOT, this is why they are able to sell stuff for so cheap, but I don't know how reliable this guy sounded since the whole store was falling apart when I went.

The store in Markham looked pretty well put together.

I don't know what you heard on the phone.

They are definitely not an Apple authorized reseller, but Apple warranties *do* apply.

They probably buy stock lots from businesses that are going under. That's why they run out of stock from time to time.

Well, I was looking for an AEBS, and I called the Brampton location and they said they had 3... so I told the guy to put it on hold.

I get there... and they can't find any. They check the whole store and then tell me that their system counts both the Markham and Brampton store together.

****ing waste of a 20min trip (from Mississauga)

If you're not in a hurry, the easiest way to find out is Email Apple.ca and ask them. You can also try to post in Apple's forum or phone Apple if you're in a hurry to know.

Asking SigElectronics might not get you the right answer (since they would be bias).
