Anybody ever shop at http://www.sayal.com/index.asp? I went recently for some contact cleaner and found, well, the store(at Victoria PARK and Steels) is like a dollar store---selling things at $2. Now they do sell some half-decent things--however I was put off by the many dollar store items. To me it cheapens the store. I was in the market for some home-networking stuff, took one look there and bought my stuff at Home Depot(yea I know, paid a little more).

HD = boutique
Active Electronics, Electrosonic and Anixter = Sears or Bay
Sayal = Walmart
AA and RCI = dollar store
Active Surplus = Goodwill
HD is the most expensive place for stuff like this. I only go there as a last resort because no matter where I am, there's always going to be a store near by and open till 10 pm.
Example:
100 ft coax for $110 at HD
1000 ft coax for $79 at Sayal
1000 ft coax for $59 at AA
Same situation for CAT5E cables. How can HD justify charging more for 100 ft coax than what everyone else wants for 1000 ft?
Anyway, the main problem with Sayal is more limited selection than the big names.

I go there if I need to get some electronic componets if I don't have time to head downtown.
Sayal Electronics are somewhat more expensive compare to Supremetronic or Active Surplus.
The dollar store items doesn't put me off. I just go there and pick up what I need to continue with my projects.
