View Full Version : GTA - New LCBO Coming (Mississauga - Rathburn & City Centre Dr.)

So the sign has gone up that they are building an LCBO out behind Square One. Finally all the thousands of condo dwellers will be able to get their spirits and stuff within walking distance instead of getting in the car.

I wonder what this will do for land values? :lol:

Isn't that right where Famous Players is? Great, now I won't be able to enjoy a movie without someone shouting random comments throughout :(

Where exactly? The same corner as the theatre/Canyon Creek, or the Jack Astors corner?

No, it's slightly down the street to the East. They're building it in the lot seen here (http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=mississauga&ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=43.597438,-79.642567&spn=0.001317,0.002511&z=19&iwloc=addr).

The Police dept at SQ1 doesn't dispatch, they only take reports and stuff. The real dispatching for this area comes from 12 Divison (http://www.peelpolice.on.ca/Communities/12%20Division.aspx).

No one walks in Mississauga. You can go from one end of the city to the other and count the number of pedestrians on one hand. And there's already a nice LCBO nearby at Hwy 10/Eglinton.

Ew coliseum is so old, the floors are so sticky. That place is over a decade old! I know, I worked there when I was 16! Go to AMC instead, its cheaper. ;)

I walk in Mississauga and there are plenty of pedestrians in the city centre. However outside that area you would be mostly right. I Know this because I see them all the time when I am walking!

Try turning left or right at Hwy 10 & Dundas. You will be delayed due to waiting for many pedestrians to cross the street.

As for the Hwy 10 / Eglington LCBO, I visit that one sometimes but the parking is really lacking in that lot. Heartsland and Mavis/Dundas are much superior in that dept.
