insane... i wonder if this will raise any doubt in the stars... win or lose, it must remind the core players of their failures last playoffs.

such ********How can some of you guys be complaining about that penalty? Dallas was in the offensive zone and lost possession solely because Campbell put his stick in the guy's skates. Maybe it was accidental, but it was still Campbell's fault for not controlling his stick, and his team still got an advantage.

Do you know how crap hockey would be if the players knew they could get away with that? Oops, I 'accidentally' let my stick wander into your skates...

rrrrrr.... I almost made it! I managed to make it to the commercials between the 3rd and 4th OT but had to call it a night cause I couldn't keep my eyes open... I knew that by the time I layed my head on the pillow I would miss the OT winner!

I was also hoping SJ would pull it off, oh well... great game!

The point is, they could have made that call 50 times between when they last called a penalty (midway through the second period) but they didn't, they put their whistles away, the players adjust to the play, and then get screwed when the refs decide they want to pull the whistle out again....

they almost gave san jose the game in the 3rd OT when they gave Dallas a penalty...luckily Dallas is an amazing PK team. The sharks knew that a even up call was coming their way, it just took almost a period. both calls should have been let go, but i guess the refs wanted to decide another series (just like in game five where Morrow "kicked" the puck in...yeah...!!TIHSLLUB)

The point is, they could have made that call 50 times between when they last called a penalty (midway through the second period)You saw turnovers due to tripping 50 times in the game? I don't think you know you blantant this was. Look at the angle in this video (near the end, 40 sec left):
http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/video/videopage?videoId=3382601&categoryId=2459791&n8pe6c=1

When you're not part of the play or your team retains the puck anyway, I'm fine with letting trips go, but this is the complete opposite. Dallas is set in the offensive zone with possession of the puck, and the trip not only gives San Jose the puck, but sets them up for the breakout with no chance of Dallas getting it back.

Only a blind Sharks fan would think that's a bad call. This would be called even before the rule changes.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it wasn't a penalty, but the fact is, the refs had let similar plays go throughout the rest of the game.

yeah, and when they gave dallas a penalty in the 3rd OT, San Jose and the rest of the hockey world knew that SJ was going to get a penalty eventually.

i guess you missed the Dallas penalty as you said they didnt call a penalty since the 2nd period. check again

I did say it, just not in this thread. We're arguing the same point in multiple threads, so sometimes I forget what I've said in what thread.

I'm well aware of the penalty situation, and the ongoings of the game. I watched every minute from early in the second period on.

In the playoffs discussion thread, after the Stars penalty I said that it wouldn't be long before they called one against the Sharks. My argument from the other thread was that the penalty against the Stars never should have been called, which would have eliminated the need for an equalizer call.
