Growing Cilantro

I just bought some very fresh looking cilantro with roots on and thought I'd try planting them in a container to see if it would continue to grow. Do you think this will work ? or should I just eat it before it all shrivels up and dies ?

just eat it, and then go to a garden center and buy a plant for $2-$3 and plant that!
