I bought an air purifier from Costco around three months ago and I'd like to return it. However, I can't find my receipt and I'm pretty sure the packaging has been thrown away. Would Costco accept a return/refund anyway?

Thanks

Costco is pretty good with their return policy. Recently, they have introduced the 3 months retrun policty for electronics (TV, Computers, Camera etc). But your Air Purifier should be ok. I think, with your membership card, they can pull the information about your previous purchases. So, evenif you don't have receipt, you should be ok.

Believe it or not, I've seen someone return the box of grapes at Costco warehouse :) So, you can imagine, how flexible they are!

One question; why did you buy it in the first place? Since you don't have the receipt or packaging, sell it on craigslist and chalk it up to experience.

They most likely take it back if they have same item in stock still. If not they may not take it back. Also, i beleive they can call up purchases from your membership # as well.

If this is one one those i bought at costco and used now getting higher up model or only used when needed, i regret responding.....as some day these type of purchases are going to end up incresaing prics at costco and there return policy changing. As now electronic hold a 90 day versus year....and manufacturing warranties are pain/hassle to follow through on.

I bought it because it was on sale and I needed an air purifier. It just doesn't do a good job and I'd rather return it to get the Sharp model on sale at FS right now. It would be my first time ever returning something at Costco (been a member for years) so I don't think I'm abusing their policy or anything.
