View Full Version : question about delivery service from direct buy when buying whirlpool washer

Has anyone bought Whirlpool washer from Direct Buy? Did Direct Buy deliver the washer to your home, or Whirlpool? For the $100 delivery fee, what does it include? Will it unhook the old washer and take the old washer to sidewalk/garage? Will it put the new wahser to the place and install the new washer? My laundry room is just two stairs up the garage. Thanks.

You should ask them as each store is different. For instance, for $100 here Sears will only deliver. The install, taking away the old dishwasher etc. costs extra (I think I was quoted about $125 for the install +$100 for delivery/take away and you had to have the old one ready to go, not hooked up). Meanwhile another store will charge $125 for all of that (including delivery) and another will include it with purchase. So call and ask to be sure.

I asked the staff at Direct Buy in Markham about the delivery last Saturday. Then, I went to Sears, Bay and Brick shopping to compare. At the end, I forgot what the staff at Direct Buy told me about the delivery. I only remember there were $50 and $100 options. Can anyone help than instead of going back to the showroom? Thanks.

The only way to get an answer is to call your showroom & ask specifically what is included in the delivery fee, I don't think you need to go in person to get that info. Perhaps once the delivery truck arrives, you can ask the delivery guys nicely & maybe he they will do it for a small fee ;)

We have always picked up our appliances from DB, so never had them delivered to the house since we have a truck. RFD members won't really have the info for you, since not too many DB members here :)
