Hello! I was hoping that some of you have some insight as to a good Afghani restaurant in Toronto or Mississauga. I have two places in mind: Bamiyan Kabob and Chopan Kabab. Have any of you eaten here? Would you recommend it? Is there another Afghani restaurant you enjoy?
Thank you!

Bamiyan Kabob was great, just really busy and slow, but food was decent.

Bamiyan is decent, but overhyped in my opinion.
There are two Bamiyan locations; 1 near Don Mills/Eglinton and a Mississauga location at Dixie/Eglinton.
The 2 Afghani places I prefer are:
1. Afghan Village Restaurant at Don Mills/Eglinton (747 Don Mills Rd -in the McDonalds plaza).
The quality, portions and prices are better then Bamiyan. For $10 you get 2 skewers (I always get lamb/chicken) and enough rice, salad and naan to fill 2 big guys. It's cheaper to order this $10 'assorted' platter because you get 2 skewers instead of 1 for only a dollar more.
2. I can't remember the name of this Takeout place but it's inside some Afghani grocery store on the northwest corner of Albion/Islington beside the Tim Horton's. Prices are cheap, portions are huge and quality is decent. It's pretty cheap and again a decent amount of food for the price.
