Staples has a sale on the Lexmark E120N for $79.99. If you plan on making a big order, use a coupon to reduce the price. Good price for a network printer.

FTR, RCSS has had it on clearance for $80 for a while now.

for this deal, slightly better if you buy 2 and use $20off150 coupon... extra $10 off per unit.

Yes, it does.

But what I concern is ... I can't find toner for this printer on Staples.ca:confused:

+1. I'd jump on this if I could find a price for the toner. I have a brother laser printer and the toner light comes on once in a while now, so I will be needing some replacement.

Found the toner at Canada Computers.

http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=010212&cid=CT.134

2000 page toner. Comes out to $0.043 per page.

And you can also PM the printer at BestBuy ($129.99)

I think the E250dn for $99 @ BestBuy last week was a better deal.
It has network, duplexing, and 32mb ram.

Or tdDirect has it for $15 cheaper, $60.79 here (http://www.tddirect.ca/products/43879/LEXMARK___CONSUMABLES/12015SA/)
Shipping for me to AB shows as $12, not too bad compared to some other sellers.

I picked up this printer at Bestbuy for the same price. Very small, quality seems good and great price for a networkable printer.

RCSS and Loblaws have it on clearance for $49.94. I bought two last weekend from RCSS with no tax. Gloucester Centre Loblaws in Ottawa still has a dozen.

I just bought this last week at Staples for $120, do you think they will adjust the price if I contact them?

I bought this printer at BB for the same price. It has been on sale twice at BB in the last 4 weeks for 79.99.

Works well with Mac and PC. Nice compact size. Cheapest laser printer with a network interface I could find.

Yes, should not be a problem to get a price adjustment.

Interesting timing for this post as I had been sitting on the fence regarding this printer...

Found an open box display unit (looks brand new) at Maxi & Cie (QC) for $49.44 :) so picked it up and gonna give it a try!

From my research so far, the toner seems to be less commonly available than some other models. Any one know what a "Return Program Cartridge" is

This is a great laser printer, especially for this price.

I paid $169.00 (well, actually my employer did) and it's worth every penny. The toner cartridges are reasonable, the print quality is good, and the printer is fast.

It is the printer brand new. It is on clearance for $49.94 at both RCSS and Loblaws if you can find one. Ottawa Gloucester Centre Loblaws still has a lot of them (about 12) as of 17/04/2008.

i'm quite surprised to hear that there's "lots left".... these seemed to be going pretty fast at $80 (last time around), let alone $50

Thanks, I already saw the site. Guess what I should have asked was whether anyone knows what "the customer's agreement to use the cartridge only once and return it only to Lexmark for remanufacturing or recycling" actually means. Would you actually need to do a physical return of the old cartridge or is it just for the supplier/reseller

( BTW, TigerDirect.ca has this printer for $182.99 :-0 )

I haven't bought one of these before, but as I'll probably buy one I was interested enough to read up their FAQs on it. The program applies to the customer. They provide you with instructions in the box to get the empty picked up via a courier free of charge, or you can drop off it off at an authorized Lexmark reseller. It appears to be an honour based thing, so if you weren't able to return it for some reason (eaten by the dog?) there would be no penalty.

Thanks RFDers for the info to help in deciding on getting this printer! :)

Just completed the network printer setup which was a breeze with both XP (Installation CD) and Vista (a heads-up for anyone who is going to install with Vista; do not use the Installation CD, just use Vista's Printer set-up).

As others have mentioned, compact unit, great print quality and fast! Even better with the clearance price at some locations! ;) Time to look into toner cartridges...

$49.44 at Shawnessy RCSS in S. Calgary. They have a bunch left. This is a smoking deal. Just got me one today. Time to mothball the LaserJet 4L that I bought back in '93 for $1000.

I bought this printer a few months ago, and I'm really happy with it. The only oddity I've found with it is that it makes a reset noise (like the printer head adjusting?) every few hours, so you wouldn't want it left on in your bedroom.

I use the network function and it's great!

Just wondering… did I happen to get an older unit or is this common?

Looked on the back of the printer and it shows as:

Manufactured: February, 2006 :-0

I would say it is common as this model is not a new model as Staples stated.
I did some research and found that this model is widely available since Early - Mid 2006.

Date first available at Amazon.com: May 17, 2006

That's the reason why I didn't go for 79.99 @ Staples
If you pay $50, I think this is still a good deal (as I can't find any @ Loblaws)
