Limit 2 per customer. Walk-in only obviously...
The best part is that $1 from every purchase goes to Variety children's charity.
Have a pizza or two and help the kiddies!

Only pepperoni, but if I recall, some locations will do "veggies" which is basically just cheese and sauce (ie. no pepperoni). I guess you could always pick off the pepperonis?
One of the things I love about Pizza Nova is that they use spring water to make their dough... It makes the pizza taste better and of course less chemicals in your pizza!

Went last year and waited over 45 min for pizza (maybe I went there too late). The pizza is good however I don't think it is worth it IMO. By the time I go back home the pizza is not as fresh anymore. I am not a big fan of pizzas, but I find most Ontario pizza places sucked, especially Pizza Pizza.

Yeah it's highly dependent on time and location I think. Last year I didn't wait at all, just walked in and walked out. They had tons of pizzas being made and people were just walking in, buying and leaving. No lineups or waiting.
Some locations may not be good at preparing and/or estimating the number of ppl coming in; not staffed enough for the day, etc. Also some locations may have a lot more people in the area that know about it and pile up the place creating lineups.
Waiting time, if any, will totally vary.

just came back from the yonge + 16th location
not too many people at 11am..maybe about 10 ahead of me...approx 5 min wait
pizza was less than satisfactory. very very thin slices and was not even warm when i received it. staff were making pizza's (maybe 3-4 of em), but i'm guessing my pizza came from the batch that was made a lot earlier (i'm guessing they anticipate a lot of people today, so they made a lot beforehand).
all in all, not very satisfied! although for $4..i expected more :P

OK, Don't go to the 4th line location! It is JAMMED with high school kids. Like easily 50 kids in line.
I headed over to Third Line and Dundas and no line, in and out in less than 2 minutes.
I agree the slices are super thin.
BTW, don't forget you can order just cheese pizza if you want too... Weird I didn't even get charged tax when buying 2 of them. 7.99 for two... Thought it would be no tax if it is less than $4.00 only...

I went to the one on Centre St. near Bathurst at 11:15 am. Took 45 minutes for my turn. It would have been sooner but I just missed the last batch.
What I don't understand is why at 10:30 they didn't make a whole bunch of them and have them waiting as people were there from 10:30 and they didn't start making them until 11.

Just got back from Woodbine/Hwy7 location. No line-up, no wait time; they had stack waiting already plus a whole bunch baking in the oven (not to mention that all their staff were busy just making the medium special). People were just coming in and grabbing the ones already made.
Only 2 limit; I asked for a whole-wheat version but they told me it would take like 40mins to make it so I'd just grabbed the regular version.

Third Line and Dundas in Oakville.
The dough was spread so thin, there were holes near the centre of the pizzza the size of quarters. Some of the worst pizza I've ever had.
You would think that this is a chance for Pizza Nova to make a great pizza to gain new customers but my experience was quite the oposite - no more Pizza Nova for me.

With 10 people ahead, it was about a 20 minute wait at Yonge and Finch. They were limiting it to 2 max per person and said that they might finish at 6 PM, while supplies last. Tastes okay since they went light on the sauce, but my cat is going crazy over them!

I'll tell you why you like buying it every year. First of all, it's for charity and second of all, you enjoy waiting in line for 30mins - 1 hour only to see that they forgot your order and you're forced to wait another hour since you've already dedicated so much time. But suddenly the person in front of you brought her whole family with her. That's right 4 boys. And they all order 2 pizzas each thus you miss the next batch of pizzas.
- From personal experience very enjoyable ;0
And oh yeah you also bought two pizzas to make up for the trouble of waiting 2 hours in that small and cramped space. You ride your bike and some doofus jumps infront of you and you drop both of your pizzas. Then when you get home your cheese is all slided to one side of the pizza leaving the other half of your pizza to be mushy and tasteless.

The Mt Pleasant & Eglinton location tonight was great - they had ovens full of them being cooked on spec - I walked out with two in less than 5 minutes. And they tasted pretty good. But because he embraced the promotion, and didn't do it reluctantly like the local Mama's when they had their charity gig on and made everyoen wait 45 minutes +, I'm going to give the franchisee some business next time I order pizza. Reading this thread I guess it's like almost any chain experience: when it comes to quality and service, YMMV.

Bought some tonite for some teenagers playing games....and would agree it all depends on how the respective franchise runs the promotion. Was in one earlier in the day and it was clear they hated the experience and lost future customers....the other one tonite embraced it (and had huge lines) and satisfied customers.

Was at Dundas and Dixie tonight at 8pm. Lots of people in line (20+) but they were doing an excellent job. Basically by the time you paid, the pizza was ready. Was in and out in 10 mins!
Excellent quality pizza. Lots of pepperoni - they didn't cheap out on these pizzas. Put's Mamma's pizzas to shame (if anyone bought those charity pizzas the other month). I think I saw some people (3-4) even getting a charity chicken pizza instead (guess they didn't like pepperoni).
FYI, I heard they ran out of dough at this location at 8:15pm.

Went to the University location in Waterloo. Showed up at 8:20 and the manager told me I would be the last person to get the pizza at that price, they were running out of pizza!
Luckily as I was served, they had more pizzas to server the poor saps who were showing up at 8:50! Sad but a few people but in the line but I got served my pizza.
For 8 it wasn't a bad deal and the pizza isn't that bad, have some pizza for lunch tomorrow! Sadly in the Kitchener/Waterloo area I haven't found a good pizza joint like in the Niagara or Toronto area.

But it makes you wonder nonetheless... Pizza is $3.99 - $1 donation meaning they only get $3 from you for the Pizza. They have to at least break even right? Which makes you wonder how much profit they're making when the pizza is reg. price, lol.
Anyway, went yesterday and just like last year I was in and out, no waiting at all. They had a couple stacks of them ready and it probably took longer for me to put through my Interac than it did to get the pizza--in and out in less than 3 mins. Was still hot and fresh; I'm not sure why there's so many comments about it being bad pizza, I never thought that : shrug :

I picked up 4 of these bad boys from the West Island Montreal location.
There was no one in sight and they said they only found out that same day that there was even a promotion (a customer told them), they did no advertising and there was no line up.
They charged me 3.99+ tax and I heard someone tell the cashier to ring it in as a Caesar's special. I'm not sure what that means, I hope that they were actually putting it through properly so that the funds go to charity.
The Pizza was great, but at the regular price of 7.99 I would still buy a little Caesar's 4.99 hot n ready.

Wow. People talking about no lineups. I wish that was the case at my local Pizza Nova. The lineup was around the corner. Ridiculous.

Hmm sounds like you answered your own question... Perhaps Pizza Nova will PM Little Caesars?

Can anyone confirm that they match Caesar pricing?
If that's the case I am more concerned that they didn't donate the money to charity.

Well the price of flour has gone up. So I'm sure pizza prices will be going up as well
Price was $3.99 last year.

Okay, reading the comments on my thread here... everyone is certainly entitled to their own opinion, BUT... (I feel obligated to defend Pizza Nova here) for all those whiners and complainers here! sheesh...
1) $3.99 for a medium pepperoni pizza - I would say that's pretty good value for a pizzeria pizza.
2) $1 goes to charity. And clearly at $2.99 (leftover), the pizza place ain't making much money mass producing medium pizza's all day for cheap.
3) My wife is "real" Italian and she considers all pizza places pretty crappy when you compare to "real Italian" pizza (aka. what pizza SHOULD be). However, she considers Pizza Nova the best of the chains - comparing apples to apples obviously. Not that it matters what my wife thinks, but I consider it is a strong endorsement all the same. Wonder if any other Italians or expert pizza makers/tasters would like to weigh-in?
4) They're the only pizza place that makes their dough using spring water rather than chemical/chlorinated/bacteria-ridden tap water.
5) Quality of pizza on charity day will obviously suffer as you can't really produce the volume of pizzas required to meet demand without taking a hit/sacrifice on quality. I would think people would be a bit more forgiving on this day... ?
6) For the poster wondering why the price went up. I've noticed pizza nova regular prices have inched up over the years.. but $3.99 pizza day has been the same for at least the past 3-4 years that I can remember...
7) I don't see many other pizza places offering a $3.99 deal for a medium pepperoni pizza with 25% of proceeds going to charity. To say, based on a bad experience with charity day pizza that you would never go to Pizza Nova again is pretty harsh and a bit unfair. If you're gonna judge 'em, go today or tomorrow - but give them a break on their busiest day of the year.
I was at an Oakville location (monestary) and picked up 2 pizzas for the fam. after about a 20 min. wait. It was piping hot, well-cooked, and not at all skimpy with ingredients. I guess I got lucky... but I was glad to get an RFD-style dinner and support charity at the same time.
Just my 2 cents...
