I had a natural gas bbq hooked up professionally in my backyard on my deck. We are looking to expand the deck (it's the builder's std 4 x 8 deck) and I was wondering if I could just shut off the gas line and disconnect the bbq myself? Or do I need to bring a licensed guy in for this? I hoping the former would be ok

your bbq gas line should be a quick connect fitting that anybody can undo... but if you want to take the other fitting that's threaded on the end of the gas line then you'll need a gas tech to undo it and plug the end. If it were me I'd just do that myself

If you're planning on moving the bbq to a new location, you'll probably need more hose.
Bring in a pro and have him run the new line for you, with a quick connect.

Don't phuck around with natural gas.
