Hey guys,

Anyone here has had experience with PVC Fencing? I am pondering having this installed rather then traditional pressure treated wood fencing. Is there any downside to PVC fencing other then the pricing? And speaking of pricing, does anyone got it done before ? I got quoted for $36/linear ft. And wood ones is around $28/linear foot.

Thanks in advance guys.

I believe PVC fencing is a bit more expensive than wooden fence but might be better for the long run (no paint or stain). It may brittle in the winter as well. I have not seen a lot of PVC fencing around my neighbourhood so not sure if this is a popular choice nowadays.

Ya, the main reason is the maintenance free. I also personally prefer the look of PVC over wood. I know in my area PVC is pretty popular. I don't remember the exact price but I remember mine being quite a bit more than 36 dollars per linear feet.

A neighbour was thinking of PVC and the installer warned him that if he hit it with a shovel in the winter there was a good chance there would be cracks in the spring time.
