What price do you think that these will bottom out on.. Also.. if i use PowerDVD for the Blu-Ray watching movies.. will i get the new blu-interactive update that is out?.

What Video card do you suggest. right now i have a 8600 gts, will that do in the meantime. I've but been waiting for the newer cards to come out to make a decison. Preferably evga card, as i have the 780i board and would eventually go to sli.. maybe tri-sli..

thanks

For HD movie viewing, your video card will do just fine ... at least it handles H.264 ... VC-1 will be mostly done by your CPU.

current 2000/3000 series amd/ati video cards handle hd/br content better.
Ive got a his 2600xt in my htpc.

i did have a bfg 8600gt earlier, and its just a little bit different, but def good enough.

decoding your downloaded content is another story...

Now some 'scene' releases are being encoded in a hardware acceleration compatible mode. Soon, you'll see it be the norm, so even mkv-contained x264 media will be playable on a largely obsolete CPU.
