Academy Award winners Robert De Niro (Raging Bull) and Al Pacino (Scent of a Woman) star as a pair of veteran New York City police detectives on the trail of a vigilante serial killer in the adrenaline fueled psychological thriller Righteous Kill, directed by Jon Avnet (Red Corner, Fried Green Tomatoes) and written by Russell Gewirtz (Inside Man). The cast also features hip-hop superstar Curtis Jackson (Get Rich or Die Tryin’). After 30 years as partners in the pressure cooker environment of the NYPD, highly decorated Detectives David Fisk and Thomas Cowan should be ready for retirement, but aren’t. Before they can hang up their badges, they are called in to investigate the murder of a notorious pimp, which appears to have ties to a case they solved years before. Like the original murder, the victim is a suspected criminal whose body is found accompanied by a four line poem justifying the killing. When additional crimes take place, it becomes clear the detectives are looking for a serial killer, one who targets criminals that have fallen through the cracks of the judicial system. His mission is to do what the cops can’t do on their own—take the culprits off the streets for good. The similarities between the recent killings and their earlier case raise a nagging question: Did they put the wrong man behind bars?

Nice, This should be a good movie. Although I dislike Al Pacino, I cannot deny he's one amazing actor. Robert De Niro on the other hand, always an enjoyable actor to watch. It should be fun and intesting to watch them act together.

I'm looking forward to this one. De Niro and Pacino again. Half the budget must have gone into their salary.

The movie doesn't look so good, but I will definitely check it out just because of De Niro.

Ya, those two made the movie Heat, an excellent movie.
My friends and I love that movie. I wished there are more movies like that out there.

We watched the scene outside of the Bank so many times but it doesn't get old.

Errr....I've read that that this movie was partially done thru 50's production company that's why he can get who ever the hell he wants in it. After that crazy 500 Mill vitamin water deal he has deep pockets and can buy his way into hollywood.

I'm looking forward to this one. De Niro and Pacino again. Half the budget must have gone into their salary.

...despite what you may think they have never been highly all that paid. DeNiro makes slightly more than Pacino. From what I've read Pacino (and actors from 70's) didn't negotiate for future royalties, merchandising or get any residuals from popular movies like Scarface. Scarface didn't do too well at the box office but the dvd/vhs & merchandising sales have been great. I wouldn't be surprised if Pacino doesn't see a cut from Scarface merchandising.

my opinion, Personally DeNiro is a better overall actor,

Pacino plays a better villain.
