Are there any hard drives that have stronger connectors or made of soemthing other than plastic? The plastic on most hard drives these days are so brittle and I'm always afraid of breaking the plastic, especially on the SATA connection. I've already had to send one in to get fixed  . Pic below so you guys know what I'm talking about.

If you're using WD drives, you might be able to get some secureconnect cables for them. SecureConnect PDF: http://www.wdc.com/en/library/sata/2579-001075.pdf

It isn't that easy to break, and why should it matter, are you sleeping in your computer case. I am always fiddling around in my computer case, have never even come close to breaking one.

I've installed, removed, and re-installed several sata drives without incident. I think it's important to make sure everything is properly lined up always use two hands when making the connections.

Perhaps the drive manufacturers need to use plastic because plastic is non-conductive?
