How many people still have the Dreamcast console? I am one of them. ;)

I've still got about 4 Dreamcast consoles...

I sold off all my rare stuff but kept the consoles and several controllers just to play some of the great games still on that machine.

I had 2 of them about 2 years ago I downloaded every single game out for it to sold them though.

DC diehard right here.

Console
4x Controllers
4x Rumble Packs
4x VMUS - batteries cost a small fortune
Virtua On Twin Stick
Mouse
Keyboard
Fishing Controller
Samba de Amigo Maracas
Mad Cat's Dream Blaster Light Gun
Microphone (seaman, while dull at times, is really ahead of it's time)
VGA Adapter

This is a good deal for those looking to replace failed VMUs and controllers. God knows they are getting hard to find...

I could use an extra 2 controllers. Alas, it's so infrequently lugged out of storage that it's just not worth the investment to me when you factor in shipping.

i love my DC, have 4 controllers already... what a great system, great memories, sad that it went away so early

great deal for those who still plays with the DC, i remember paying $30-40 for one of these non-ergonomics controller :P

This is a good deal for those looking to replace failed VMUs and controllers. God knows they are getting hard to find...Nice! I didn't have the TwinStick but had all the rest (including a complete unopened set of Red/Yellow/Blue/Green/Black controllers and VMUs), plus some oddball stuff like the Dreamcast digital camera and an official Godzilla VMU. The keyboard was alright but the mouse sucked pretty bad. I think I just held onto one normal VMU and the 4x VMU.

Good to see you have the VGA adapter and the MadCatz light guns! Those were a *must* for the DreamCast. I've always wanted the maracas, but they were too expensive.

Mouse, keyboard, and fishing controller were useless, but it was nice to have to complete the set. ;)

No BBA or DDR pads for your DC? :)

Not as die hard as me! Check out my pictures (http://vegisaurus.multiply.com/) i took a few years. I severely need to update it as i have a lot more stuff in my collection now.

Good find op. Especially with their current 20% off sale.

On the side note, there are some fancy edition VMU's for cheap at Game Choice Club if anyone is still collecting. Airmail shipping is US$12.74 for both though.

DC Diehard as well, those still look too expensive (esp w/s+h).

My DC list;
3 DC Consoles
2 original VMUs
1 original rumble + 1 madcatz rumble
5 original DC controllers
1 keyboard
1 mouse
2 VGA boxes

I still browse through EB used game sections for some old DC gems. What a great system. Need a pair of fishing controllers now :) An a black DC would be nice. -sg

Great deal as these are very hard to find new. Too bad about the short 4 foot cords. Once you go wireless (with the newer consoles) it's hard to go back to cords.

I have a Dreamcast but as others said, I don't play it frequently enough to warrant buying this.

Those were a *must* for the DreamCast. I've always wanted the maracas, but they were too expensive.

*wink* 50 cents at a garage sale was right in my price range.

I also forgot I have the Mad Catz Panther joystick as well. Haven't used it in ages since I mostly play RPGs and Jet Set Radio. It was an awesome stick for Unreal Tournament and Q3 back in the day. You can use it for Virtua On as well, but the Twin Sticks own everything for that game series...

Never did get Dance Pads for my DC, I didn't know they exist. Always did want a racing wheel, but could never find one...

I never did buy all the hardware for collecting, but to play with buddies. The DC has gotten more play than my NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Xbox, PSX, PS2, or computer games. With the entire game library at your fingertips *at your discretion* there was always something new to play.

Jet Set Radio was, and is still one of my favourite games. There were just so many interesting games Sega would make, like ChuchuRocket, which was surprisingly fun multiplayer. Having 200 games to select from helped too :D

I have a Twin Stick as well, but it's the Saturn version. I used the Total Control adapter to get it to work. Other stuff I got are the Sega Fishing Controller, the Sega steering wheel, and Capcom/SNK fighting pads.

I have the whole set as well, I was tempted to sell but resale value is too low to justify. The price can only go up anyway. I have 4 original controllers / 4 vmus / 4 performance rumble pads and a nice madcatz pad. And let's not forget an original Typing of the Dead with 2 PS2 keyboard adapters! Always wanted the fishing adapter, light guns, and official arcade stick but never got around to those.

Also, Dreamcast owned Gamecube - I own both, and DC has a much better game library and many online games, although I never had a broadband adapter to play it with. My friends had a great time online with PSO and Alien Front though using old dial-up, whereas I was too lazy to go back to dial-up to play them.

I still resent that game Silver to this day. My DC laser died out while playing it. DAMN YOU! I had to wait 3 more years until I could finally play Shenmue II (on the Xbox).

Hell yes! NFK2K singlehandedly reinvented modern sports games. Remember how amazed everyone was at its graphics and gameplay when it came out? Still ranked as one of the best games ever made.

Dammit. I freaking miss the Dreamcast. So far ahead of its time:

Online gaming and web browsing? Yep. Not until over 3 years later did Xbox Live launch.
A martial arts RPG? Shenmue is badass. Supposed to have a 15 chapter story, only 5 have been told in the two games thus far. Massive production costs have led to the rest of the story not being told. Even Shenmue Online (after some 4 or 5 years in development) has vanished. Probably the most expensive game series to have never seen daylight.
Soulcalibur? You betcha. Still ranked one of the best of all time.
480p resolution? Uh huh. Even the PS2 doesn't do 480p except for 2 or 3 games. Took until the Xbox for this to become adopted by a console again.
No one has made anything similar to the VMU yet. Remember growing those little egg dudes from Sonic Adventure in them?
Expansion DVD player, MP3 player, and even a Zip drive were announced, but not released.

I could go on. I still have my 4MB memory card that I bought for $60. I felt awesome because I could download hacked game saves onto them with the bundled PC cable.

We have 3 Dreamcast consoles. Game Stop in the States had a promo where you got the console & one controller free with the purchase of 3 used games. Everytime we pass a Game Stop or EB Games in the States my kids go through the used accessory bins and they still find lots of Dreamcast accessories for a buck or two.

My kids still use the Dreamcast - especially when their XBox 360 died and went in for warranty replacement.

The power supply is inside the DC, so the power cable is generic - you could get a replacement at a dollar store. (They are crappy and probably not safe - but they will work fine...)

personally, i avoid buying POed accs. (esp. controllers) whenever possible... just cuz of hygiene reasons

but i guess for an outdated system like the SegaDC, where it's hard to find BNIB accs., PO'd might be the only way to go
(ebay might be an alternative, but BNIB accs. for outdated systems would prbly have some price gouging)

It's too bad those are IR, I read the line of sight needs to be just right for them to work properly. If only Dreamcast had released a proper wireless controller, that would've made the system so much more attractive.

I remember buying batteries for the VMU and spending so much time figuring out how to get a cheezy pacman game onto it. Fun times.

personally, i avoid buying POed accs. (esp. controllers) whenever possible... just cuz of hygiene reasons

I've had good PO controllers and really bad PO controllers, it's really hit or miss. I'd stay away unless it's a controller you can't find new anymore, or if the deal is REALLY good. If an eBay auction says "cleaned and tested" it doesn't mean anything, I've learned the hard way. And if worried about hygiene, I'd buy some antibacterial wipes or something to clean it with, and some Q-tips and alcohol for the hard-to-reach areas. One of my used dreamcast controllers had a sticky analogue stick, I opened it up and cleaned the ball with alcohol (it looked like the last guy spilled coke or something in it) and then it worked like new.

Aye, first time I ever stayed up till 6 AM was playin' Power Stone 2 @ my buddies house, unforgettable times.

Ofcourse I have so many controllers (and lightguns, and VMU's, and Rumble Packs, Fishings Rods, AV Cables, extensions, etc) for Dreamcast I don't know what to do w/ them anymore. But yea power stone (2), marvel vs. capcom (2), Capcom vs. SNK (2), Cannon Spike, geeze Capcom was really good to the DC!!

But the DC will always have a place near and dear to my heart. If Power Stone 2 was released w/ online play I would def. buy the system just for that.
