For those who got in what are your opinions, likes and dislikes about this game so far? What are some fun things you've done?

One funny thing I did is when I was in the tank shooting at a guy but then he ran into a building and hid by the window so I backed up, then floored it forward and smashed through the wall and ran him over...I bet he was pretty surprised.:D

Can you post some impression as to the balance of the game? I don't have a 360 for the beta but I have reservations about the game. It's nice that you can blow things up, but having everything destructible would get rid of choke points and balance really quickly doesn't it?

How's the learning curve of the guns? Like Rainbow 6? BF2? COD4? CS?

I played a bit last night. I've always loved BF games, and this seems a lot like BF2, albeit with destruction. That's the one thing that will take getting used to. The most powerful by far are the tanks. Instead of hiding behind a wall, you have to hide behind buildings to stay safe from them. Since they can do so much damage, you really need to try to take them out asap.

The main problem with the beta is the sound. It seems like sound effects keep getting cut out, or you don't even hear them at all. Maybe its just me.

I didnt know tanks could run into building walls though, I'll have to try that.

Played it this morning.

- Easy to get into a game.
- Didn't hear anyone talking on their mics. No voice chat?
- Forgot that this was a BF game, so there's no automatic health regeneration, which I have gotten really use to with games that have recently come out.
- Takes too many bullets to kill a guy. Yes, I am using burst fire and I'm aiming properly.
- Health is a bit screwy. Like it feels like I got shot once and I'm down to 3 health.
- Buildings aren't technically completely destructible. A really beat up building that looks like it should collapse doesn't. So you can't technically have a baren landscape after a 30min game, which is good.
- No prone.
- Vehicle controls are mapped poorly.
- Guns are too huge. Covers most of the screen.

All in all, if you didn't get into the beta. Don't worry, you're not missing much.

No prone? :S

I loved BF1942, BF2, and BF2: Modern Combat for the PS2/Xbox. I'll probably pick this up when it comes out.

The biggest thing I noticed was the lack of prone position. It makes it harder as a sniper to conceal yourself

Yeah I wish there was prone, Im guessing there will be in the final game. There is voice chat...you can chat amongst the people in your squad. And its a good thing the buildings don't completely collapse because then everyone would just destroy the buildings instead of playing the game and if the buildings collapsed where would u hide?...This game has everything to be a very good game...cant wait for the real thing.

Got some time to play it Thursday, Its not bad but still work in progress. The game seems to be almost in slow motion though, I dont feel Im moving as fast as I should be. Its true that it feels like you have to shoot someone alot more than you normally would have to it doesn’t feel as responsive as Call of Duty 4, which you learn to appreciate at how well it is made after playing something else. But the game is still a lot of fun, reminds me of Battlefield 2 and once you get the jist of things and start popping guys from a distance its a lot of fun. Sniping is fun, flying helicopter is challenging but loads of fun, Ive killed myself more than ive killed anybody else but after I got used to it was awesome. The game is gorgeous though, I love blowing up gas barrels just to see the effects. Oh and the sound is god damn good, the echoes of a bullet outside, the ringing from explosions. I don’t buy many games but I definitely would pick it up on launch, however I doubt I will considering I’ll have GTA IV, nothing can touch GTA.

I recently signed-up for xLive for the first time and have been playing the Bad Company demo for an unhealthy amount of time (have not played single player mode yet). How does this game compare to the Live multiplayer of Call of Duty 4? Is BC a buy buy buy or should I just pick up COD4? T.I.A.

imo call of duty 4 blows this out the water. But maybe when the actual game comes out, it may be ON PAR only :D
