How it works is I'll set up the account and purchase the songs/song packs with that account. Say we buy 3 song packs and it comes out to $25. We split the costs, so 5 people then its $5 a person. Payment will be sent to me.

Once im done downloading them, the account will be passed to the other members in the GB one by one and they will DL them into their PS3.

We dont really need 5 people, but the more people, the cheaper it will be.

Now that we got the 5 members for the rock band groupshare. We'll ahve to decide on some singles/song packs to download and the budget each person is planning to spend so that we can work within that budget.

I personally dont mind if we get them ALL, but we'll see what others say. The new boston pack is out tuesday March 25th.

I think the best thing wold be to have each person pick a pack and two singles. If a member already has a song or pack then they can either pick soemthing else. The price this way would average to be about $15 per person for a boatload of songs.

yes this only works for ps3. the songs on the ps3 version doesnt have the drm protection, which allows users to share or backup (incase of a hd failure) music but only up to 5 downloads. its done by logging into the acct with the purchased songs, and just download the songs (it'll auto install), and then you just log back into your own acct and it'll be active.

PSN store purchases can only be downloaded to 5 different PS3s. ONce 5 different PS3 has downloaded the content on the same account, they can no longer be downloaded by any other PS3 system.

Not sure if there's a way around it as i have never heard of getting more than 5 systems on one account.

argh! I wish i knew this before I lugged my PS3 over to my friends house to play my downloaded songs. I'm still in the Micro$oft frame of mind (download once and deal with it)
